About Us

Global Impact is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to assuring help for the world’s most vulnerable people. Established in 1956, and formerly known as International Service Agencies, Global Impact is the national leader in raising awareness and funds for humanitarian organizations that provide help to people in need in virtually every developing country. Through programs such as disaster relief, education, health care training and economic programs, Global Impact funded charities promote self-sufficiency, strengthen communities and offer hope.

Since its inception, Global Impact has raised more than $1.2 billion to help others. The organization raises funds directly through workplace giving programs and online donations, and partners with corporations to organize their financial support in response to global humanitarian crises. Global Impact also manages two of the world's largest workplace giving programs: the Combined Federal Campaign of the National Capital Area (CFCNCA) in Washington, DC, and the Combined Federal Campaign–Overseas (CFC–O) for all overseas commands of the U.S. Department of Defense.

Today, Global Impact provides an opportunity for you to learn about issues facing the world and direct your support to the programs and countries you want to help.

Why Contributions to International Causes Are Important

U.S. foreign assistance programs, developed and implemented by U.S.- based international charities, are critical to building a stable and secure world. Supporting these programs is not only the right thing to do it represents a practical investment in global sustainability.

Programs managed by Global Impact member charities meet real needs with real results in the lives of children and families living in extreme poverty. Additionally, these programs strengthen U.S. economic security, defend against global health threats and create the basis for respect and goodwill toward the United States in countries around the world.

By emphasizing self-reliance and sustainability, our member charities’ programs provide people with the resources they need to help themselves, their families and their communities. Over the past six decades, child mortality statistics have plummeted, literacy rates have risen and household income in the developing world has tripled.

Yet, much remains to be done. More than 1 billion people struggle on less than $1 a day to build a life of hope and dignity for themselves and for their families. One of the most important things that individuals can do to help fight global poverty is devote sufficient resources to U.S.-based international charities.

The power to make a difference is in your hands. Act now!

For $10 a month (for one year) or the cost of a muffin and cup of coffee at Starbucks, you can:

  • Provide fortified meals to save the lives of 14 malnourished children in Indonesia.
  • Make pre- and post-natal care, routine check-ups, immunizations and safe delivery services available to 26 mothers and newborns in Lebanon.

For $50 per month (for one year) or the cost of two tickets to a baseball game, you can:

  • Send a starter flock of chickens to 65 families in Cameroon so they can raise food to eat, share or sell.
  • Construct latrines with proper ventilation and privacy to create a safe and sanitary environment for school-aged youth in Guatemala.

For $100 per month (for one year) or the cost of a dinner date, you can:

  • Vaccinate 2,600 people against meningitis, measles, polio or other deadly epidemics in Sudan.
  • Distribute 400 portable water purifiers to protect children in India from deadly waterborne diseases.
