Position Overview: The Director of Member Services and Outreach is responsible for the development, management and monitoring of Global Impact's diverse partner charity and customer relationships. The Director will be a key leader on the Senior Team focused on ensuring robust and high quality charity and customer participation in Global Impact's various programs. The Director will be externally focused on identifying and managing charity relationships and internally focused on managing ongoing compliance monitoring processes.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact between Global Impact and partner charities and customers participating in Global Impact programs.
- Manage relationships and provide support to participating and prospective charities and customers.
- Execute agreed-upon messaging and positioning with partner charities and others.
- Work closely with the Chief Operating Officer to identify and recruit partner charities to participate in Global Impact's existing and new products.
- Manage the annual organizational recertification process to ensure that all partner charities participating in Global Impact's fundraising programs meet specified standards of compliance and quality control.
- Manage a set of campaign application processes to ensure Global Impact's participation in a variety of workplace giving campaigns.
- Manage the state registration program for Global Impact and charities participating in the program to ensure qualification in state campaigns.
- Work closely with the Chief Operating Officer to identify, recruit and support charities for new Global Impact programs.
- Manage a broad set of information resources related to participating charities, prospective participants, and other customers.
- Serve as an internal source of knowledge and expertise regarding the international charity landscape to inform Global Impact's existing products and new product development efforts.
- Collaborate with Executive Team and Senior Team members on the Global Impact's overall needs and strategies regarding charity and customer relations.
- As a member of the Senior Team, identify specific measurable department and customer goals that advance Global Impact's mission and vision.

- Relationship management skills - The abilities to manage and support relationships with a diverse set of partner charities and customers participating in Global Impact's programs.
- Compliance and process management - The technical abilities to oversee a number of internal compliance processes that ensure the ongoing quality of Global Impact's portfolios of participating charities.
- Strategic thinking and analytic skills - The skills to support Global Impact's efforts to identify and develop new portfolios of charities and customers to participate in various Global Impact programs.
- Content/domain expertise in the field of international charities strongly preferred - Demonstrated professional experience and knowledge in the broad landscape of charitable organizations, especially for international charities.
- Supervisory and leadership skills - Experience supervising staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.
- 8+ years experience required.
- Experience in managing organizational relationships, particularly in the non-profit arena.
- Prior non-profit or philanthropic experience is advantageous, especially in the international arena.
- Strong knowledge of the landscape for charitable organizations, particularly in the international arena.
- Excellent strategic thinking and analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and through written word.
- Must be creative and innovative.
- A self-starter and action oriented.
- Able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with a focus on results.
