Stanley M. Berman is the Chief Financial Officer of Global Impact. Since joining the organization in 2007, Mr. Berman has supervised the planning, implementing, managing and controlling of all financial-related activities. A certified public accountant with nearly 40 years of financial leadership, Mr. Berman implemented policies that make Global Impact highly efficient.
Prior to joining Global Impact, Mr. Berman spent nearly three decades at the Washington, DC, headquarters of B’Nai B’rith International, a charitable service organization with members in more than 50 countries. He was the Chief Financial Officer at B’Nai B’rith before his departure from the organization. Previously, Mr. Berman served as an Auditor and Consultant for Arthur Andersen & Co. in Washington, DC.
Mr. Berman is currently the President of the Greater Washington Society of CPAs and is a member of the American Institute of CPAs. He received numerous awards over the course of his career. In 2010, Virginia Business Magazine named Mr. Berman as Virginia’s CFO of the Year for small nonprofit organizations. In 2009 Mr. Berman was a recipient of SmartCEO Magazine’s SmartCPA award , which annually recognizes the top CPAs in the greater Washington, DC area. In 2006, Mr. Berman received the Julius Bisno Professional Excellence Award as the most outstanding member of B’nai B’rith International’s professional staff.
In addition to his professional duties, Mr. Berman has served on the boards of several not-for-profit organizations.
Mr. Berman earned an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a BS with Honors in Accounting from the Pennsylvania State University.
