Oprah Winfrey Show Features Heifer International's Tererai Trent

The Oprah Winfrey Show  delivered a call to action for all women on October 1, 2009. Inspired by the New York Times best-selling book Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide by Pulitzer Prize winners Nicholas Kristof and his wife, Sheryl Wudunn, the eye-opening hour revealed powerful stories of women overcoming adversity to realize a better life for themselves. Oprah herself called one of the stories - about Heifer International's Tererai Trent - "the most incredible story of manifesting a dream I have ever heard."

Support Heifer's mission to provide the resources for a better future to more than women and families.
