Director, Operations

Directs, administers, and coordinates internal operational activities in the organization in accordance with policies, goals, and objectives established by the Executive Team.  Supervises operations personnel.

Responsibilities: 
  • Manages day-to-day operations pertaining to the building facility, equipment, and security.
  • Owns and manages internal policies and processes related to problem escalation, information security, acceptable technology use, and other operational functions.
  • Owns and manages records retention for the Executive Office.  Coordinates with the corporate records retention owner to ensure compliance.
  • Manages operations staff, including desktop support.
  • Oversees and manages space allocation, management and planning.
  • Manages key vendor relationships, including the relationship with the property management company.
  • Manages contracts with key vendors of organizational operations issues
  • Coordinates with the Senior Administrative Assistant on office management issues and responsibilities
  • Executes the project planning and tracking function for critical, inter-departmental strategic projects in the organization.
  • Manages and maintains the 3-year Strategic Plan, Metrics, and monthly reporting.  Identifies projects in crisis and works with owners to get projects back on track.
  • Identifies potential problems or issues and takes initiative to solve them before they arise; continually looking for ways to improve the office environment.
Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in business administration.
  • 5 to 7 years experience.
  • Prior experience supervising, managing vendors and a budget.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Customer service focus is essential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an effective team player.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide array of people.
  • Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy in organizational settings.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize; must be organized.
  • Must be a self-starter, self-disciplined and a critical thinker.
  • MS Office suite experience required and SharePoint experience preferred.
